Den Bake Shop is a small online cake studio run by Maxine, a self-taught Black British cake designer based in Harlesden, north west London. I specialise in luxury buttercream cakes and cake canapés, in classic flavours infused with a hint of Jamaican influence. My designs draw inspiration from clients’ vision for their celebrations, ranging from bold statement highlights to softer, natural hues. I play with edible texture and create each look from scratch.

As someone who chooses dessert before ordering the main course, I believe flavour is queen. The Den Bake Shop menu consists of carefully selected taste combinations, each one developed to make sure a single slice is never enough. Ingredient quality is a high priority - only unrefined sugar, organic flours, free range eggs and responsibly sourced chocolate feature in this kitchen. 

I’ll work with my couples to create a cake design that perfectly compliments the style you're creating for your day, and I'll do my utmost to make devouring your cake one of your favourite moments of the celebration.
