Déjà 🇧🇧 and Nehemiah New Year’s Eve Proposal at Calvary Christian Center Sacramento

The beautiful Bajan 🇧🇧 Portuguese queen Déjà Clark from New Jersey is counting down to forever with her beau, Nehemiah Goudeaux after the magical proposal on New Year’s Eve. Nehemiah whose heritage is French Creole and from Sacramento decided that he wasn’t going into the New Year without his queen, Déjà as his fiancée. This was after his Dad’s sermon on being “Fixed and Focused” for 2020.
Their uber-romantic proposal happened on New Year’s Eve, 5 minutes to midnight (before 2020 hit) at Calvary Christian Center, the biggest church in Sacramento CA. Nehemiah had a perfectly laid out plan with his dad which took them months to execute. The sermon had to fit the proposal, it was so original and magical.

How did you both meet?
We met through a mutual friend at a gathering in June 2017. I walked into the house and we instantly locked eyes. We talked briefly and I asked him for his Snapchat as he walked out the door to leave. He contacted me that night, we talked some more and we went on our 1st date June 16th, 2017.
How did he propose? Proposal location and Proposal date
He proposed at our church (Calvary Christian Center on 12/31) NYE celebration, 5-6 mins before 2020 hit. His Dad’s message was about having 2020 vision for the New Year while being “Fixed and Focused”. Nehemiah said “I’m not going into the New Year without my girl…Déjà Reneé Clark, WILL YOU MARRY me?”. My mouth dropped when he said this and I started shaking lol. We were both shaking so much, we had to help each other to put my ring on. The entire congregation swarmed us (100’s of people).
What did you love about the proposal? Any creative theme or exciting moments?
I loved how Nehemiah planned for months with his Dad. He knew how to tie in his dad’s message with his proposal. It meant the world to me. His timing couldn’t have been more perfect.
What’s your wedding date and location? Also, What are you looking forward to most on your wedding day?
We’re getting married at our church, Calvary Christian Center in either December 2020 or January 2021. We will be having a wedding with over 600 guests as his parents are famous pastors. I’m just looking forward to saying “I Do” to my best friend as we’re surrounded by love from our family and friends.

To my girl, my future wife. I prayed for a woman who had no knowledge of who I was, my family, or church. I prayed to find someone who would get to know the real me and love me for just that…not what I could offer. When I met you, The Lord said “get to know her as fast as possible”. You once jokingly said “aren’t you tired of me?” This was about after 3 weeks straight of dates. You didn’t know what God told me at that point but I made it very clear to tell you that I was courting you. Now we’re here witnessing His promise. I love baby. – Nehemiah
