All eyes on The Singletons, the latest and happiest newly wed Black couples in Charlotte. A beautiful AfroCaribbean wedding inspiration that had it all, beautiful Love Story, an emotional Groom full of nothing but true love for his black queen and an unconventional bride who rocked her amazing short natural hair and a surreal stunning Black Wedding Gown on her wedding day.

Oh no that’s not all folks, this beautiful Black bride and ex Royal Navy whooped cancer’s “ass”, taught it a good lesson never to mess with her again by surviving a grade 3 Brain cancer when she was 30.

And this is one of the reasons why after almost 3 or 4 months of not putting up a wedding blog post, this amazing couple’s journey was so inspiring that we just had to. Y’all know we haven’t got a big team at My Afro Caribbean Wedding, with just our co-founder and 1 part-time team member. But stay tuned as something new is cooking for next year. Anyways, back to The Singletons.
The stunning Bride Mrs Ros Singleton, survived a stage 3 brain cancer after successful removal of the tumor from her brain caused likely by Hair Relaxers. This is life changing and quite grateful for the amazing things God can do. Hashtag Brain Cancer survivor to someone’s Wifey for Lifey, just bliss.
4 years later she got an amazing surprise proposal from her Bae of Life, Ray who surprised her on the 4th of May 2017 in the presence of their wonderful family. Ros “agreed to sit on the couch with me and watch Family Feud and eat Famous Amos Chocolate Chip cookies with the pecans in it for the Rest of Her Life” – says her cheeky man Ray.
The Fashionista who owns a Fashion Style consulting brand, Royal Luxe Fashion and her man didn’t come to play from then on, their Engagement Photo-shoot beautifully captured by @photosbyrj was everything to elegant, stylish, stunning, slayage, saucy with the African American couple drippin through in finesse.

The Groom rocked an all black suave suit, and his Nubian Queen rocked an all Black Mesh top and a custom Tulle Skirt designed by an emerging black business and fashion designer @lulu64collective owned by @thedomoniquejanaya. Here’s what the happy bride had to say:
Y’all!!!! All of my GOD given edges!!!! The stress this week was well worth this amazing, breathtaking outcome!! These #engagementphotos 🔥🔥🔥 @willie_qool You are my lovey love and I thank GOD for blessing me with you! I cannot wait to be your wife!❤️❤️@thedomoniquejanaya you came through and made this beautiful Tulle Skirt for me last night so I would have it today!! You made this day so much more special!! I owe you life hunty!!! @photosbyrj you outdid yourself sir!!! I cannot wait for these wedding photos!

The couple also both rocked a light grey matching suit looking all dapper, so fresh and so clean with their hair cuts and even went cheeky with some saucy poses. Like we said, they weren’t here to play at all.

Their wedding day was everything, full of true love, emotions, unconventional, jaw dropping moments giving us a reason why we love Afro Caribbean Weddings. Y’all know how weddings are one of the most important events in anyone’s life. And you know how emotional and breathtaking these moments can be, Ray seeing his beautiful Wifey to be at the time couldn’t hold back the tears of joy seeing her walk down the aisle to him. At this moment, their first look expression says everything. One of the most beautiful moments in anyone’s life, just so adorable that it got us all teary eyed. 😥😢 Tissues anyone? Ray said “I had no control over them tears”. And we were like oh yes you can’t control them tears, it’s called TRUE LOVE and GENUINE EMOTION. Just bliss fam.

The beautiful Melanin Bride looking like a queen that she is, walked down the aisle in a breathtaking surreal unconventional Black Wedding Gown. Yes, she did that!! And ‘bwoy’ did she look absolutely mind blowing beautiful in her dress. She not only blew us away with her custom Wedding gown designed by Lulu 64 Collective., but also her suave Hair cut was dope. Who else can rock a short hair cut going all natural on their wedding day and still look beautiful? Nah you don’t see that often.
