African Inspired Traditional Wedding Decor Inspiration and Ideas
We’re not sure about you, but we get super excited when African traditional wedding season rolls around. First, there’s nothing like being in the presence of your true African cultural family. Secondly, word of advice to all African couples, don’t head to your traditional wedding without checking out various decor designs and inspiration to give you ideas.
Today, we bring to you these amazing Nigerian Ghanaian African inspired styled shoot and traditional wedding decor by Queen of Hearts Floral Designer, a black owned Floral Design and Styling business that specialises in venue styling, wedding and event decoration across London, the UK and destinations.
Bilen Zeremariam, Eritrean British and the owner of Queen of Hearts is an Interior Designer who brings forth an extensive knowledge in venue styling and a massive experience of interior decor and styling from large corporations like Marks and Spencer, Laura Ashley, Al Tayer Group in Dubai, and Harrods where she is currently a manager delivering several styling projects. So who else would deliver such great venue styling decor inspiration if not Bilen.
The decor inspiration behind this styled shoot was simple elegance with a West African twist. The colour palette chosen was derived from the Kente cloth used in one of the looks. Rich oranges, gold and green were the perfect combination to the green leafy back drop. I decided to keep the florals all white, and rely on the traditional outfits for colour and texture.
This shoot is a way of showing couples who come from two different African cultures, how to incorporate traditional outfits in their wedding. As well as giving couples wedding ideas on how to style your perfect sweetheart head table.
How traditionally chic and stunning are these photos from the African themed inspired decor and styled shoot? We love them to bits and we hope this helps to give couples great ideas of what-else you can incorporate into the style and design of your wedding as well as that traditional inspired sweetheart head table.
